Washing
When washing, gently hand wash the item in water with a mild liquid kitchen detergent (avoid using dry-cleaning detergents or bleach-based detergents). Use a container large enough to comfortably hold the carp streamer. Do not wash for long periods. If there are stains, hand wash only the affected areas, being careful not to rub the gold leaf on carp streamers with gold accents. After washing, hang the streamer to dry without folding or overlapping, ensuring it dries thoroughly. Do not use a dryer. Avoid dry cleaning, as it can damage the mouthpiece and cause discoloration.

Rainy Days
Carp streamers with water-repellent coatings are prone to losing their water resistance, while those without such treatments may degrade over time. For this reason, avoid flying carp streamers on rainy days. If the streamer gets wet, gently wipe off the moisture with a dry cloth, allow it to dry completely, and store it in a dry place with low humidity.
